PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Coloma Charter Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing and meeting concerning proposed Zoning Ordinance text amendment(s) on October 2, 2024, commencing at 6:30 p.m. at the Coloma Charter Township Hall, 4919 Paw Paw Lake Road, Coloma, Michigan 49038.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the item(s) to be considered at the public hearing include, in brief, the following:


1. Zoning Ordinance text amendments regarding adult use marijuana as follows:

a. Amendment to Section 40-1 Definitions to add definitions regarding marijuana.
b. Amendment to Section 40-209 and 40-314 regarding adult use marijuana establishments.
c. Amendment to Article X, to add new Section 40-709 regarding adult use marihuana establishments.

2. Any other business that may properly come before the Planning Commission.

All interested persons are invited to attend and comment. Written comments will be received from any interested person concerning the foregoing matter(s) by the Coloma Charter Township Clerk at the address below any time during normal business hours up to the date of the hearing and may be further received by the Planning Commission at the hearing.

The Coloma Charter Township Planning Commission and Township Board reserve the right to make changes in the proposed amendment(s) at or following the public hearing.

To the qualified electors of Coloma Charter Township, County of Berrien, State of Michigan: Notice is hereby given that a Public Accuracy Test for the electronic equipment that will be used for the General Election is scheduled for Wednesday October 16th, 2024 at 9 a.m. in the Township Hall Board Room, 4919 Paw Paw Lake Rd, Coloma, Michigan. The Public Accuracy Test is conducted to demonstrate that the computer programming used to tabulate the votes cast at the election meets the requirements of Michigan Election Law.
